This policy explains what information DigList collects and how we use it.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number if provided, and your plan preferences (job types and service area).
- Billing information: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive limited details such as your name, email, the last four digits of your card and your payment status.
- Email and site basics: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) from our hosting provider. We don't use advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use your information to deliver your alerts, run your subscription and billing, answer your messages, and send important service notices. We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it except with service providers that help us run DigList (such as payment processing, email delivery and hosting), or when the law requires it.
Permit and contractor data
Our alerts contain public records from the City of Austin and contractor business names and phone numbers as filed on the permits. We don't include property owners' names. If you're a business listed in our alerts and want your contact details removed, email us and we'll remove them.
Retention and your choices
We keep your information while you're a subscriber, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or unsubscribe from emails at any time, by writing to michael@getdiglist.com.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We'll post any updates to this policy on this page with a new date.
