Terms of Service

Last updated: October 25, 2026

These terms apply to your use of DigList ("DigList", "we", "us"), including our website and daily email alert service. By starting a free week or a subscription, you agree to them.

1. The service

DigList is a subscription service. It emails you daily alerts about newly issued City of Austin building permits, filtered to the job types and service area for your plan, along with the contractor of record's business name and phone as filed on the permit, when available.

2. Plans and billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance, at the price shown on our website when you subscribe: One area $99/month or Citywide $149/month. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). Once you choose a plan and pay, your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. We will give you at least 30 days' email notice before any price change takes effect.

3. Free first week

New customers get their first week free. No payment card is needed to start, and nothing is billed during or after the free week automatically. At the end of the free week we email you a secure Stripe payment link. Your paid plan starts only if you choose a plan and pay through that link. If you don't, your alerts simply stop.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime by emailing michael@getdiglist.com or replying to any alert. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep receiving alerts until then, and you won't be charged again. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Data source; provided as-is

Permit information comes from the City of Austin's public open-data portal. Contractor names and phone numbers come from the permit records, and occasionally from public business listings. DigList is not affiliated with or endorsed by the City of Austin. The data may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and the city may change or withdraw it. The service and all data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all such warranties.

6. No guarantee of results

DigList provides information only. We do not guarantee that you will win any job, contract or business, or generate any revenue, from using the service.

7. Acceptable use

Alerts are for your own business use. Don't resell or republish them in bulk. When you contact anyone listed in an alert, follow all applicable laws, including telemarketing, do-not-call and anti-spam rules.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, DigList is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or lost-profit damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. We will email you about material changes. We may suspend or end the service for misuse or non-payment. If we discontinue the service, we will refund any prepaid period that hasn't been delivered.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
